The peptide business launch checklist
To launch a peptide brand you need ten things in place: a properly formed business, a brand and labels, documented suppliers with COAs, a website with real policies, reviewed copy, payment processing, fulfillment, tracking, email and SMS, and a tested launch. This is the same list we work through with clients.
1. Business foundations
- Form your business entity and get an EIN.
- Open a business bank account in the entity's name. Processors check that names match.
- Talk to a licensed attorney about how your specific products may be classified and sold where you plan to ship.
- Get a business address and phone number you're comfortable publishing.
2. Brand and labels
- Pick a name and check the domain, social handles and trademark conflicts.
- Design a logo and label system that reads as a real brand.
- Make sure every label matches the product's actual contents, batch and intended use, as reviewed by your attorney.
3. Suppliers and COAs
- Shortlist suppliers and verify who they are, where they ship from and how they document quality.
- Order samples before committing to inventory.
- Get third-party testing so each batch has a certificate of analysis (COA) you can publish.
- Keep supplier documentation organized. Processors and partners may ask for it.
4. Website and policies
- Build a fast, mobile-friendly store with clear product pages.
- Publish a COA for every batch, searchable by lot number.
- Publish shipping, refund, privacy and terms pages, plus real contact details.
- Add an age and intended-use confirmation where your attorney advises it.
5. Copy review
- Remove health, treatment or results claims from every page, label and ad.
- Check product names, descriptions and images for wording that draws processor or ad-platform attention.
- Re-check copy whenever you add products or run promotions.
6. Payments
- Apply with processors that underwrite stores in your category, and describe your products and business accurately.
- Line up a backup option before you need it.
- Test a real charge and refund end to end before launch.
- Set up chargeback alerts and keep order, shipping and customer records.
7. Shipping and fulfillment
- Decide between shipping yourself and a 3PL.
- Confirm carriers and destinations you can ship to.
- Make sure orders and tracking numbers sync back to your store automatically.
8. Tracking and analytics
- Install analytics and confirm purchases are recorded correctly.
- Set up Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools and submit your sitemap.
- Check that your pages are readable by search engines and AI search tools.
9. Email and SMS
- Add a signup form with clear consent language.
- Set up welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase and win-back flows.
- Register your SMS number (for example, toll-free verification) before sending texts.
10. Launch day
- Place a full test order on desktop and phone.
- Check every link, form and email confirmation.
- Watch payments, orders and support messages closely for the first week.
